What we do

The playscheme is designed to support children in the local area to play and learn in the presence of others in a safe and child-friendly environment.

It’s all about fun and encouraging the children and young people to learn and develop their skills through playing with others. Many of the activities undertaken encourage learning and creative play.

Each location differs, but we pride ourselves on inspiring children with a mix of activities including:

  • Creativity and crafts
  • Performing arts
  • Team play and puzzles
  • Sports
  • Outdoor and indoor games
  • Dressing up

Fantastic half term Halloween family sessions

During October half-term we ran seriously scary (but mainly fun) Halloween-themed family sessions in Kingswood, Patchway, Staple Hill and Yate. Families enjoyed pumpkin carving, arts, crafts and games. In total we entertained 112 families, with 221 children for free. Including their parents, carers and grandparents.

“Thank you for offering this free playscheme, it really does help working parents juggle the long summer holidays and gets the children out of the house having new experiences”
